


Yoga helps me to find the balance I seek in every part of life. It is my reminder to breathe, my therapist (physical and mental), my calm in the midst of a storm and my time to honor connection, intention and myself.

A devoted dancer and athlete my whole life, I have a passion for movement and sharing the joy and the balance that dancing and yoga both guide us to. In 2006, after dabbling in a few 'gym yoga' classes, I took my first studio class with an instructor who actually touched me and helped align me properly into a pose. I was hooked and immediately started to see a transformation in my dance training and my life. Seeking to also empower others with the tools to find balance within themselves, I acquired my 220 hour Kunga Yoga teaching certification from the Wilmington Yoga Center (Wilmington, NC) with Kristin Cooper in 2011.
My teaching approach creates a gooey, endorphin-releasing practice environment that my students refer to as 'Yummy Yoga'! I am passionate about teaching healthy alignment and yoga 'from the ground up', hands-on assists and creating classes that are both playful and soulful, drawing both beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
I am also a professional belly dancer and fire performer! When not in the studio or on the stage, I'm with my son, romping outside, cooking, dancing and playing my ukulele :)
